One of the five basic kamae for Ninpo-tai-jutsu is Tonnsou.  Your hand is inside your Do-gi ready to pull out either a Senban Shuriken or Me Tsubushi (blinding powder).  The picture is how Sensei described it, with the shuriken in a pocket on the bottom and the Me Tsubushi in a pocket on the top.

 "Nine Senban shuriken and 3 Me Tsubushi."

I asked  "Why nine and three?"

"Nine is the most powerful number"

"And three?"

"Only three will fit in your pocket"
