Jinenryu Nito Jyutsu: Ikko 自然流 二刀術

Basically after warming up with Shi ho Giri, we spent the rest of the class on this technique and how to apply it to all the different cuts.

"You are either receiving the opponent's sword like with Jyu Monji no Kamae (blasting up) or you are re-directing it (to one side or the other).  The basic movement is the same for all cuts, whether it be Kesa, Kiriage, Suki or Karatake wari."

"If you are cutting to the face it is a Suki, if you are cutting to Uko (throat) use Oshi Giri."

After watching us for a bit Sensei commented:

"If you are cutting using Oshi Giri to the throat be sure to move away quickly (I had sort of stopped just past the Uke) because if you don't the gush of blood is going to blind you.  This will act as a Me Tusbushi and you will not be able to see"

Note: 目潰し Me Tsubushi- usually "blinding powder" but anything that serves to obstruct the vision
