Last Keiko for this year 今年最後の稽古

Training with Sensei ended today.  We finished the last three techniques in the Churyaku no Maki of Gyokko Ryu 玉虎流along with two henka変化 for each.  Probably the word for the day was

Shibori-age　搾り上げ　or a wringing and lifting motion done on the elbow.  It is common in Takagi Ryu and it appeared in a henka for the Kata Horyaku.  

When done correctly it is quite effective but finding the right spot took us some time.

Sensei thanked us for our hard training this year and urged us to think about our Mokuhyo目標or objective/goal for next years' training.

Hatsu-geiko 初稽古at the Honbu will be on Saturday January 19th.
